Filmed in Texas in 1972 over four nights of the Exile On Main Street US tour, Ladies & Gentlemen was premiered at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York on April 15, 1974 and released into selected cinemas across the USA shortly afterwards. It was billed at the time
as ...the most powerful rock film ever made and is considered by many fans to be the finest Rolling Stones performance ever captured on film.

It was released briefly in 1974 and has been rarely seen since, but now it has been restored and re-mastered. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman, and Mick Taylor are joined by a tight horn section and by Nicky Hopkins on piano. Drawn from the albums Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, and Sticky Fingers through Exile on Main Street, the 15 classic songs include Brown Sugar, Gimme Shelter, Dead Flowers, Happy, Tumbling Dice, Love in Vain, Sweet Virginia, You Can't Always Get What You Want, All Down the Line, Midnight Rambler, Bye Bye Johnny (a tribute to Chuck Berry), Rip This Joint, Jumpin Jack Flash, and Street Fighting Man.
