The Last of The Dark Tower?

June 9th, 2009

Dark Tower 5: The Battle of Jericho Hill

Robin Furth has been adapting and creating the original Stephen King Dark Tower comic series. Originally slated as a thirty issue release in five story arcs we are currently in the beginning of the fourth in the series, "Fall of Gilead."

Speaking with author Robin Furth this week she has informed the Overlook that the final installment, "Battle of Jericho Hill," is currently in the writing stage and she is very excited about this amazing project and how it's coming to an end. No formal release date has been announced, but we expect this series to begin towards the end of 2009.

Will this really be the end of this series? "Yes," according to Ms. Furth. "It has been a very, very popular story, but at this time this is where it will end." Hey, with Stephen King, you never know (Dave smiles big here ...)

We'll have an announcement soon on when you can begin purchasing sets here at the Overlook. All previous Dark Tower sets are available, some in several forms (rare variants, and slipcased hardcovers) and you can see them all by clicking the link below. - Dave
